The Label Technician collaborates directly with the department supervisor and across departments to provide company-wide support of the label printing process, new label development, and implementation of changes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, document, and maintain labels, label files, and label-related policies and procedures.
Ensure labels are correct and meet customer specifications.
Implement changes that affect labels.
Print labels as required by users.
Maintain label-printing machines, including coordinating repair and maintenance.
Maintain appropriate levels of label stock.
Provide troubleshooting and problem solving for all label-related issues.
Provide various signs and labels as requested.
Contribute to a positive team working environment.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Treat everyone at Vanguard, its vendors and customers with dignity, respect and professionalism at all times.

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
Intermediate level of proficiency in computer systems and computer applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
English (reading, writing, and verbal)
General math skills and ability
Demonstrated self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit, and a “hands on” mentality.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
Demonstrated customer support and information gathering skills.
Ability to prioritize and organize several activities to meet daily requirements.
Proficient communication skills, both written and oral.
Communicate in person, over the phone, email, and internet or in writing in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and make productive use of time.
