Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, computer management, or engineering. Will also accept a Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, computer management, or engineering. Experience: A Bachelor’s degree and five years of overall progressive experience in computer engineering. Will also accept a Master degree and three years of experience in computer engineering. Skills/Requirements: 3 years of experience: (1) building cloud scalable, real-time, and high performance data lake solutions; (2) relational SQL and scripting languages, including shell and python; (3) source control tools, including GitHub; (4) workflow scheduling and orchestration tools; (5) developing complex data solutions; (6) cleaning, preparing, and optimizing data for ingestion and consumption; (7) Agile; and (8) solution and technical design to identify the most optimized solution.

NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Will be responsible for a team’s delivery of scalable data solutions to solve customer needs in Beaverton, OR. Will identify and solve enterprise issues concerning data management to improve data quality. Will ensure the implementation of automated workflows as well as continuous integration, test-driven development, and production deployment frameworks. Will review design, code, test plans, and dataset implementation performed by other data engineers in support of maintaining best practices through following data engineering standards. Will guide the team in troubleshooting data issues and performing root cause analysis to proactively resolve product issues. Will manage, mentor, and inspire a team. Will manage performance, goals, and development potential. Will provide guidance on the work of team members. Will influence the product implementation technical roadmap. Will ensure the adoption of established best practices. Will evaluate potential new talent. Will have three to seven direct subordinates. Will engage in five percent or less domestic and international travel.
