Job Summary Provides support to all areas of the Engineering department. With guidance and direction, work with program managers and manufacturing engineers on production transition activities. Essential Job Responsibilities 'Coordinate project kick off and closure meetings ensuring all responsible departments and people are notified. 'Large percentage of time spent working in 'Q' to develop quotes and other duties. 'Assist Project Managers on first-run production trial runs to review and update overlooked components of a current process resulting in a more successful hand-off to the production floor. 'Assist Manufacturing Engineer on development of manufacturing tools. 'Assist with issuing Test Tickets and track for status and completion. Review work order and test order status to ensure billing/payment to customer/vendor is completed on time. 'Work closely with the Purchasing department to ensure the timely ordering and delivery of necessary components needed for manufacturing. 'Assist in the development and implementation of work instructions for each specific new program. Review status and obtain necessary approvals for final NPI release. 'Reviews all engineering information upon completion of NPI on project to assure completeness. 'Interface with Manufacturing and Quality to assist and assure smooth transition of project from Engineering. Required Education and Experience 'Minimum High school diploma or GED equivalent; prefer college level courses 'Minimum 5 years working in manufacturing environment 'Previous experience writing documentation in manufacturing environment preferred.
