Foress sign & Mfg. is currently accepting applications for a sales position. We are looking for a self-motivated and team player with experience in the sign industry or comparable project management in the construction trades. We primarily work within a 60 mile radius that includes the central Willamette Valley and central coast areas. Essential functions of the job include (but Are Not Limited To): -Sell to and service new and existing accounts. Proactively seek out new customers, markets, and sales opportunities. -Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the sign industry -Initiate and follow up with customers and vendors to sell products. -Resolve customer problems, answer question, generate correspondence and reports -Proactively prospect, qualify, and generate sales within both new and established clients -Contact current and prospective customers to sell and explain upgrade opportunities and solicit new business within market area. -Prepare and present proposals and quotes, and recommend products based on customer needs. -Inform customers of product details, unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer. -Create and maintain customer files and plans for follow-up action. -OSHA requires 18yrs of age in manufacturing facilities Required knowledge, skills, and abilities include (but not limited to): -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Self-starter and organization skills. -Listen to and understand client needs and to respond effectively. -Computer literate, including proficiency in Microsoft programs. -Valid driver's license and current, valid insurance. -Multitask, problem solve autonomously, and handle stressful situations. -Accurately use and read instruments such as rulers, tape measures and levels. -Calculate and convert distance measurements such as length, width, height, area, diameter, radius, etc -Read and analyze plans, blueprints, and other documentation -Maintain a positive attitude, be dependable, and take pride in work product -Communication skills in order to consult with other departments and vendors to formulate ideas and resolve issues. -Design and fabrication knowledge for a wide variety of signage types including way-finding, monument signs, illuminated channel letters, and cabinets. -Multi-task effectively within a shop environment. -Self-starting, motivated employee who can work without supervision. -Proficient in MS Office Suite (primarily Excel and Word) -Be thorough and accurate with an attention to details. -Understand local sign codes as they pertain to our product(s) and willing to track, troubleshoot, challenge and dispute permits with issues. -Perform code checks and confirm code verbiage directly with the governing municipality.
